happening in Haiti. We are glad things seem to be getting better down
there. And now that we remember, we also participated in an effort
to help the people from Haiti. The "Krudar Gym" organized a
very successful fund-raiser here in Toronto. The Gym is run
by our brother-in law and our sister, Danica; and an "incredible"
bunch of people training to become professional Muay Thai
boxing fighters. They organized the event and managed to raise
a total of over $10,000 dollars. Then, the Canadian government
matched this amount and this increased the aid to Haiti by over
$20,000 dollars. That was really cool. Everyone worked so hard and
was so dedicated. It felt so good to participate in such an
event. The next day, we, Maia and Keana, could not make it
early, and went to school a litte bit late. Anyhow, here
is what the newspaper said about us.

Twin Smiles on Canadian TV
By Manuel Arellano
Keana and Maia have talent and the sweetness to conquer Canadian television
viewers. These Ecuadorian-Canadian twins have begun their
acting career at the early age of three years. They have a
long list of movies, TV shows and commercials in which they
have starred. Keana appears regularly in the new TV series
for children called, "Dino Dan". The program, which takes place in
the present even though it shows dinosaurs, tries to teach
children the importance of dinosaurs and the natural world.
"The natural environment is being damaged by all the pollution
and I want to protect it", say the eleven year old actress.
Keana and Maia hope to achieve more success in cinema. To
get there they watch different kinds of movies, and also the
acting skills of idols like Angelina Jolie.
"Dino Dan" is aired on Mondays at 5:00 pm on TVO Kids
And, as we have mentioned before, our Mom and Dad are our biggest fans and
like all super-cool parents, they try to get us involved in a lot
of things, like literally everything; reading, writing, acting,
singing, photography, and river dancing, (ha, just joking on the
last one!).
We come from a family of five girls (yup! poor Dad) and now we have a really
cute two year old nephew. We are the babies and the youngest of
one big, loud, takes-forever-to-make-a-decision family.
We started acting at the age of three. We didn't even know what
was going on at that time. Why wouldn't a three year old want to
play on a fantasy island. Well, that's how it was like for us in
Super
Babies: Baby Geniuses 2 (our first
feature film). From there we continued on to commercials Honey
Nut Cheerios,
Zellers,
Ontario
Tourism; and took a few gigs in
some pretty neat documentaries.
This year, Keana will be appearing in a new TV series Dino Dan.
